About Us

We are the only English Montessori Center in Gava for children 4 months to 6 years of age. Our daycare is the only one that primarily uses English for children ages 1.5 to 6 years olds. Our mission is to “Create world citizens who dominate the English language, care for their natural surroundings, and are autonomous and happy.”

From the pedagogy of Montessori, we build a perspective of profound respect, trust, and love towards young boys and girls. Each child has their own potential to develop their concentration and fine and gross motor skills. Our job is to guide them in finding it through the use of materials that have been scientifically designed.

What is Montessori?

Montessori is an alternative educational method, created more than 100 years ago by the Italian doctor, Maria Montessori. This scientific pedagogy has activities that promote AUTONOMY, which fosters young children’s self-dependency. It nourishes their CONVICTION to decide what materials to work with to strengthen their PRECISION OF MOVEMENT and develop their INTELLECT AND CONCENTRATION. Maria Montessori once said, “When the child chooses the tasks based off of their own interest, concentration arises from their mind, body, and soul.”

Why Teach English to 0- 6-Year-Olds?

Children 0-6 years old are in the stage of the ABSORBENT MIND. The experience of hearing English 8 hours a day creates neural networks that open a channel from a new language.

Our students have shown that they can start speaking English after 1 or 2 years with our Full Day English Program. Also, having an International community promotes kids to speak English between them, and help in their language acquisition. Providing an English school to your child from 0-6yo is a gift that will remain with them the rest of their life.

What is it Like at Morning Glory Montessori Gavà?

PREPARED ENVIRONMENTS The environment is surrounded by beautiful, real, and fragile materials from various areas of study.

Nido from 4 months to 1.5 years old. Here, babies practice fine motor skills, psychomotor, sensory, and the nourishment of autonomy.
Infant Community of 1.5 to 3-year-olds study: Practical Life, Self-Care, Care for Plants, Language, Art, Food Prep, Music, and Reading.
Children’s House, 3 to 6-year-olds study: Practical Life: Care of the Environment, Care of Plants, Food Prep, and a daily Bread Making. Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, Music, Biology, Geography, Art and Gardening. In the Children’s house, kids are able to have an in and out flow from the indoor and outdoor environment.

The MATERIALS are AVAILABLE to the HEIGHT of the CHILDREN to be USED FREELY when the child chooses to. Kids spend twice a day PLAYING, WORKING OUTDOORS, CARING for their VEGETABLE GARDEN in the 350m2 Sandy Courtyard. They also pick dry leaves, remove weeds, and collect the remains of fruits for the weekly preparation of compost. At a young age, they begin to establish a relationship of love and care for mother nature, through Permaculture.
